Resistance to chemicals and abrasion, improved control of the friction coefficients are requirements increasingly demanded by markets. The combination of the GEOMET® coating with the GEOKOTE® topcoats can respond to new expectations in many industrial sectors.

Characteristics and performance

• Resistance to hydrochloric, phosphoric, sulfuric acids, automobile fluids and other chemical agents
• GEOKOTE® has proved its strong resistance to repetitive abrasions
• The black, clear or other shades of GEOKOTE® gives freedom from possible stick-slip problems when tightening (VDA 235-203)
• The GEOMET® / GEOKOTE® combination is particularly suited to fasteners since it provides them with optimal protection and assembly properties
• Salt Spray Test according to ISO 9227*

Application processes

These water-based organic topcoats can be applied in one single thin coat by Dip-Spin, Spray,Dip-Drain-Spin using bulk or rack processes

PLUS® Black and GEOKOTE® Black product ranges offer many
possibilities to meet your requirements.

• Combination of a GEOMET®: 321, 500 or 720 basecoat and a black topcoat
• Thin dry-film, non-electrolytic
• Water-based chemistry
• Even, consistent black color

Characteristics and performance*

• Coefficient of friction adapted to your specific requirements:
0.13 ± 0.03 or 0.15 ± 0.03 (Please contact us as other ranges are available)
• No hydrogen embrittlement
• High corrosion resistance (up to 1000 hrs Salt Spray Test)
• Strong resistance to chemical attack (depending on the configuration). No
coating damage when in contact with automotive fluids including brake fluids
and wheel cleaning solutions

Lubrication for challenging tightening operations

DACROLUB® 10 is an organic topcoat obtained from water-soluble compounds. It is applied over GEOMET® coatings, thus allowing to reduce and control the friction coefficient of threaded parts.
DACROLUB® 10 is available in three versions: clear, blue and green.
Its properties are the same whatever the colour.
